Thursday June 18th: 2 Qrs calls, 1st at 1758hrs, assisted Somerset Ambulance Stoystown Station for a fall injury at a residence on Walnut Ave in the borough. 09-096 2nd at 1843hrs for an ankle injury at a residence along Lincoln Hwy. Bowsell Ems replaced Somerset Ambulance who was committed on another call. 09-097

Accident with Entrapment

Tuesday June 9th at 0722hrs was a vehicle accident with entrapment along Stoystown Rd (Rt281) near Reading Mines. This vehicle was southbound when it ran off the road and then shot across both lanes when it rolled over striking a tree on the roof and then ending up on it's wheels. The driver was trapped inside. Attack 604-2 along with a crew from Friedens Fire Co. utilized the Jaws of Life Rescue Tools to cut and remove the driver. Somerset Ambulance transported the driver to the hospital. State Police investigated. 09-095

  

 

Another Vehicle/Pedestrian Accident

Wednesday June 3rd 0920hrs: Dispatched for a person struck by a vehicle on Lincoln Hwy (Rt30) in the construction area near Stoystown Auto Wreckers. Attack 604-2 responded and arrived on scene to find one male patient laying on the road that was hit by a van. Construction workers stopped all traffic while we assisted Somerset Ambulance from the Stoystown station, administer patient care. Boswell EMS was requested for an EMT assist (Thanks!!). Patient was transported to Conemaugh Hospital. State Police investigated. We wish the patient the best and a speedy recovery!! 09-094

 

Vehicle/Pedestrian Accident

Monday June 1st 1155hrs: Dispatched for a Vehicle/Pedestrian Accident in front of 668 W. Main St in Quemahoning Twp. Attack 604-2 responded and arrived on scene to find one female patient that was struck by a slow moving vehicle. Somerset Ambulance Stoystown station transported the patient to Conemaugh Hospital. 09-93

Smoke in a Structure in Boswell

Sunday May 3rd 2216hrs: Dispatched mutual aid assist to Boswell for reported smoke in a structure call at 231 Mississippi St in Boswell Boro.  Engine 604-1 and Attack 604-2 responded but was cancelled enroute. 09-077

Vehicle Accident

Tuesday April 28th 2329hrs: Crews responded to a vehicle accident on Bicycle Rd just past Grove Rd. Units arrived on scene to find one pickup on it's roof down a embankment. Crews checked the area and found no one around the truck. Dispatch advised that a female was walking around with blood on her. Crews checked the area and found nothing. State Police are investigating. Friedens Fire Company and Somerset Ambulance Stoystown station also assisted. 09-076
 

Brush Fire

Saturday April 25th 2005hrs:  Dispatched to assist Friedens with a brush fire at 114 Ross Rd.  However Stoystown units were cancelled.

Possible Vehicle Accident/Tree & Wires Down

Monday April 20th 0953hrs: Dispatched to assist Friedens with a possible vehicle accident/vehicle into a fallen tree on Stoystown Rd (Rt281) near Marts Mini Mart. Attack 604-2 & Squad 604-4 responded and arrived on scene south of Marts's and found a tree had fallen on to a power lines bringing those lines down as well as a pole and transformer. Wires were pulled from the nearby residence. Attack crew cut and removed the tree from the roadway and notified the power company. Crew stood by until the power company arrived a short time later. 2 Calls-Qrs/Possible Helicopter Landing Zone

Saturday April 18th: 1st call at 1630hrs crews responded to a Qrs/Possible Helicopter Landing Zone assist with Somerset Ambulance for a injured person at a farm along Bicycle Rd. Attack 604-2 responded to assist with the patient as well as the possible need to land a medical helicopter to air lift the patient to a trauma center. Attack crew arrived on scene and was advised that no helicopter was needed. Crew assisted with the patient who was thrown from a horse when the horse became spooked and a leather strap had broken. Crews cleared at 1705hrs. 09-071 

 

2nd call at 1911hrs was a qrs assist with Somerset Ambulance for a diabetic related emergency at a residence on Walker Rd. 09-072
